School History
Thurgood Marshall Elementary School in the Houston Independent School District (HISD) began serving students in the fall of 2013 and was named after the first African-American Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall. The school focuses on student-centered education, social-emotional learning, and academic development for a diverse student population.
